4 inch (102mm) QF Multipurpose Gun

4 inch (102mm) multipurpose gun. The QF designation means it used cartridge ammunition that came in a single piece (as opposed to bagged two-piece shells.) QF means “Quick-Firing.“ HMS Belfast carried eight of these weapons in dual mounted turrets. The guns could not be individually trained and elevated, only as a pair.
