Japanese Students with 6.5 mm Training Machine Gun

Image Information
College students practice with a 6.5 mm training light machine gun as part of their military service. Each university or technical college had a military training unit, that all able-bodied men were required to join. Several types of training machine guns were made; they fired bullets with a lower powder charge. In October 1943 all university students were drafted.
